Who Is Associated Pathologists, P.A?

We are a physician-owned group practice providing professional diagnostic laboratory interpretive testing services for all St. Joseph’s/Baptist Hospitals. Our group pathologists are all board certified in many areas of sub-specialty expertise.

What Services Do You Offer?

We provide anatomic pathology testing services to the patients of St. Joseph’s/Baptist Hospitals and various Tampa Bay area physicians, ambulatory surgery centers, endoscopy centers, and multi-specialty clinics.

What Is a Pathologist?

This is a doctor who specializes in providing a medical diagnosis interpreting the changes in body fluids and changes in tissue caused by disease.

Will I Receive a Bill From the Pathologist for Blood & Urine Tests?

Yes, you will receive generally two bills, one from us for the professional services performing the test and one from the hospital for the technical services in performing the test. Many insurance reimbursement arrangements with pathologists allow for professional component billing of clinical laboratory tests. While there may be exceptions you should contact your insurance carrier for guidance.
